Sculptural Bubble Pendant Light with Translucent Shade

Defined by its softly rounded forms and lightweight internal structure, this sculptural bubble pendant light brings a distinctive mid-century character to contemporary interiors. A fine steel wire frame shapes the pendant from within, creating curved, architectural silhouettes that appear substantial in scale while retaining an airy visual quality.

The translucent white shade softens the light source and distributes illumination across the surface of the pendant, creating a gentle, diffused glow rather than the concentrated light produced by an exposed bulb. This gives the fixture a particularly atmospheric quality in living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms and open-plan interiors where ambient lighting is as important as the pendant's decorative presence.

Nine individual models provide a wide range of proportions, from broad, flattened forms to compact spheres and taller sculptural profiles. Models A and B create the broadest horizontal presence and are especially effective where a wider pendant is required. Models C through I introduce more compact, rounded and elongated forms that can be used individually or combined to create a layered installation.

Installation & Placement

The pendant is designed for hardwired indoor installation and uses an E26 or E27 replaceable bulb with a maximum wattage of 40W.

The suspension cord can be adjusted up to 150 cm / 59″, allowing the pendant to be positioned according to ceiling height, furniture placement and the proportions of the selected model.

For larger spaces, Models A and B provide the greatest diameter and visual width. The smaller sculptural models are particularly well suited to grouped arrangements, where different shapes and suspension heights can be combined to create a more substantial installation.

The fixture carries an IP20 rating and is intended for dry indoor areas.

Which model should I choose?

Models A and B are the broadest, from 15.7″ to 31.5″ (40 to 80cm) across. Models C to I are more compact, rounded or elongated, and work well grouped at different heights.

Can it go on a sloped ceiling?

Yes, on slopes up to 30°.

How far can it hang?

The cord adjusts up to 59″ (150cm). Need a longer drop, or have a sloped ceiling? Email us before ordering and we'll confirm what's possible.

How to size, hang and install your pendant, and what to expect when you order.

How high should it hang?

Over a kitchen island or dining table, leave 30 to 36 in (76 to 91 cm) between the surface and the bottom of the pendant. Where people walk underneath, keep at least 7 ft (2.1 m) between the floor and the bottom of the light.

How many pendants do I need over an island?

As a guide, allow about one pendant per 2 ft (60 cm) of island length, keeping the end pendants about 6 in (15 cm) in from each end. A 6 ft (1.8 m) island usually suits three pendants, or two larger statement shades.

Smaller islands suit shades under 12 in (30 cm) wide. Full dimensions are listed on this page.

Do I need an electrician?

Yes. Pendants are hardwired to your ceiling wiring, so we recommend installation by a licensed electrician.

Will it work with my home's power supply?

Yes. This pendant runs on 110V to 240V, so it suits homes in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.

Above our dining table, the curved shade looks beautifully balanced. The shape has a lovely mid-century feel. Planning the placement beforehand was worth the effort. It is a softer effect than our previous exposed bulb.

During the evening, I appreciate the diffused glow most. The pendant gives the ceiling a feature it was missing.

With restrained decor around it, the pendant gets room to stand out. I appreciate the difference between its daytime and evening appearance.

My favourite detail is the structure beneath the white surface. The internal frame gives the surface an interesting rhythm.

Initially I wondered about the scale, but the shade suits the room. We use it alongside other lights for a relaxed atmosphere. It adds texture without introducing another colour. The pendant looks best in our room with some space around it.

The first thing I noticed was how airy the design feels. It adds atmosphere to a corner that previously felt plain. It suits our combined living and dining space. I like the subtle structure visible through the white shade

After replacing the old fixture, the ceiling looks much more interesting. We kept the surrounding decor fairly restrained. It pairs nicely with the clean lines of our cabinetry. The white shade takes on a lovely glow in the evenings. Glad we chose this style

Now that it is installed, the room feels more balanced. The design stands out without needing much decoration nearby. It makes our dining area feel more inviting in the evening. We wanted ambient lighting rather than relying on it for every task. Really pleased with the overall effect.

Walking into the space, I still notice the pendant's silhouette. The shade feels airy despite its visual presence. The choice of models helped us find a shape that suited the space. The glow feels comfortable when sitting around the table. Very pleased, especially in the evenings.

Against our neutral walls, the white shade fits in beautifully. Getting the hanging height right made a noticeable difference.
