Lamp FAQs

Good to know

How to size and power your lamp, and what to expect when you order.

What size lamp do I need?

Table lamps: choose a shade no wider than the surface it sits on. When you're seated, the bottom of the shade should sit around eye level, which usually means a combined table and lamp height of 58 to 64 in (147 to 163 cm).

Floor lamps: 58 to 64 in (147 to 163 cm) tall suits most spots beside a sofa or armchair.

Desk lamps: an adjustable arm or head lets you aim the light where you work without glare.

Full dimensions are listed on this page.

How is it powered, and will it work in my country?

It plugs into a standard outlet, so there's nothing to install. It runs on 110V to 240V, which covers homes in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.
