What size lamp do I need?
Table lamps: choose a shade no wider than the surface it sits on. When you're seated, the bottom of the shade should sit around eye level, which usually means a combined table and lamp height of 58 to 64 in (147 to 163 cm).
Floor lamps: 58 to 64 in (147 to 163 cm) tall suits most spots beside a sofa or armchair.
Desk lamps: an adjustable arm or head lets you aim the light where you work without glare.

How is it powered, and will it work in my country?
It plugs into a standard outlet, so there's nothing to install. It runs on 90V to 260V, which covers homes in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.
