Wall light FAQs

Good to know

How to place, power and install your wall light, and what to expect when you order.

Where and how high should it be mounted?

Living areas and hallways: mount around 60 to 66 in (152 to 168 cm) from the floor, roughly eye level when standing. Along a hallway, space lights about 8 to 10 ft (2.4 to 3 m) apart. In narrow halls, choose a slim light that sits about 4 in (10 cm) or less from the wall.

Beside a bed: mount it so the light sits just above shoulder height when you're sitting up, for reading without glare.

Mirrors, fireplaces and artwork: a matching pair either side looks balanced. Full dimensions are listed on this page.

Is it hardwired or plug-in?

This page shows how this light is powered.

Hardwired: it connects to wiring in the wall, so we recommend installation by a licensed electrician.

Plug-in: it plugs into a power outlet, so no electrician is needed. It's a good option where there's no wiring in the wall.

Will it work with my home's power supply?

Yes. This wall light runs on 110V to 240V, so it suits homes in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.

How long does delivery take?

Shipping is free to the United States, Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days and take 7 to 14 business days in total to arrive, with tracking provided where available.

Planning a pair or a hallway?

Send us a photo of your wall with its width and ceiling height, and we'll help you choose the right size and how many lights to use.
