Where and how high should it be mounted?

Living areas and hallways: mount around 60 to 66 in (152 to 168 cm) from the floor, roughly eye level when standing. Along a hallway, space lights about 8 to 10 ft (2.4 to 3 m) apart. In narrow halls, choose a slim light that sits about 4 in (10 cm) or less from the wall.

Beside a bed: mount it so the light sits just above shoulder height when you're sitting up, for reading without glare.

Is it hardwired or plug-in?

We had a plain section of wall near the entry that needed something, but I didn't want to fill it with more pictures. A linear light seemed like a useful way to add a little interest. I liked the straightforward aluminium body and the softer appearance of the diffuser. We spent some time working out the position before having it fitted. Now that it's there, it looks like it belongs with the rest of the room. It's quite a quiet design, which suits us. happy with the choice.

Against the darker wall in our sitting room, the line of light stands out well. I wasn't sure a minimal fitting would have enough presence, but it does. The aluminium keeps the overall look crisp.

Looks tidy during the day too. That was something I wanted from a wall light.

For the hallway I wanted something modern without making it feel like an office. The diffuser helps give the light a softer appearance. It sits neatly against the wall and works with the fairly plain finishes we already have.
