Solid Copper Outdoor Pillar Light with Glass Shade – IP55 E26/E27

Designed for entrance pillars, gate posts, boundary walls and architectural fence lines, this solid copper outdoor pillar light brings the proportions of a traditional lantern into a cleaner, more contemporary exterior setting. Its tall, tapered body is framed by a broad square roof and stepped mounting base, giving the fixture enough visual presence to complement substantial masonry, stone and rendered pillars without appearing oversized.

The black-finished copper structure is paired with white glass panels and restrained gold-toned detailing. When illuminated, the enclosed glass softens the bulb's output, allowing the lantern to produce a warmer, more diffused glow rather than exposing a bare light source. The defined vertical framework also remains visually distinctive during the day, making the fixture an architectural feature even when switched off.

With an IP55 rating, the fitting is designed for permanent outdoor placement, while the E26/E27 lamp holder gives you flexibility to select a compatible bulb to suit the desired brightness and colour temperature. Available individually or in coordinated sets of two, four, six or eight, it can be used as a single entrance feature or repeated along larger gates, driveways and perimeter walls for a consistent exterior lighting scheme.

Installation Notes

This is a fixed, mains-powered outdoor fixture designed for hardwired installation on the top surface of a suitable pillar, post or architectural column. Professional installation by a licensed electrician is recommended for outdoor electrical fittings.

The E26/E27 bulb is replaceable, allowing the light output and colour temperature to be selected according to the compatible bulb used.

Pillar lights are fixtures designed to mount directly onto the top or face of a gate post, fence pillar, or masonry column. They are most commonly used at driveway entrances, front gates, and garden borders to provide both security lighting and a strong architectural statement. They differ from post lights in that they sit on an existing structure rather than a freestanding pole.
Yes. All of our pillar lights carry an IP rating suitable for permanent outdoor exposure. The IP rating for each fixture is listed in the product specifications above. As a general guide, IP44 suits covered or sheltered positions, while IP65 is rated for fully exposed conditions including direct rain.
The base of the pillar light should sit comfortably within the footprint of the post or column it mounts on — ideally no wider than the top surface. For standard brick or stone pillars, a base between 6 and 10 inches suits most residential applications. For larger statement columns, a wider base or lantern-style cap works best. Yes. Pillar lights are hardwired fixtures that require connection to your existing outdoor wiring, which is typically routed up through the post or column. We strongly recommend installation by a licensed electrician to ensure safe wiring, correct weatherproofing of all connections, and compliance with local electrical codes. Installation hardware and instructions are included with every order.
Bulb type, base size, and maximum wattage are listed in the product specifications. Unless noted otherwise, bulbs are not included. We recommend warm white LED bulbs in the 2700K to 3000K range for the most welcoming entrance ambiance and best energy efficiency.
